sheet metal fasteners

Post by Faltura »

I have started disassembling the front of my 69 f-250 and several of those flat metal clips that the bolts thread through have broken from rust and age. Does anyone know where I can get replacements for the clips and bolts? I have not gotten very far, but I have broken or had to cut off over half of them.

Most Auto body supply stores, Often NAPA, Mustang shops, And most places that carry Auveco nuts, bolds and screws...

They are often called J nuts or U nuts, and the counter monkey SHOULD understand...

good luck.

hahaha  he said counter monkey..god you musta gone to the advance autoparts near me. I ask them for a u joint they ask if the truck has airconditioning..I ask them for a headlight switch they ask if its an automatic..now I go I tell them what I'm looking for, then I quickly say.. manual steering manual brakes, automatic no air, and its ragoon red and primer. that usually throws a funny look on their face but I get my part..sometimes. amazing that computer could tell them to ask them what is your hair color and some idiot would ask the customer that as well..what happen to the autopart store where they know what the heck your talking about can walk over and pick the part up from the back with out looking at some computer?
