I have a 72 f100. I'm going to start working on the body and was wanting to remove all the side mouldings before getting started. How do they come off?? I can see how the end pieces come off ... but the main body pieces ... do they slide off?? Or do you pull them straight off the body?? They're already in need of attention and I'd hate to bend them up worse trying to get them off
thanks!!

Dwell on the good stuff and you'll always be happy, dwell on the bad stuff and you'll always be angry. Be happy.
You take a small pry bar and get close to the plastic clip and gently pry it off. If i was you i would opt to buy a clip kit from lmc or blue oval as the old plastic clips tend to get very brittle with age. It will come with every clip for the whole truck trim.
All side trim pieces are held on with a nut on each end and are snapped on in the middle.
For the bed pieces you can access the front nut via the body plug in the front of the bed:
The rear nut is accessed by removing the tail-light assembly.
