Hello from coastal NC

Post by 56 Aero »

Got a new project, like I needed that. My wife's uncle passed away one year ago. His project truck was wasting away. Long story short his kids didn't want it, and his wife couldn't stand to see it go to waste. So they asked me if I wanted the truck, you know, to keep it in the family. Well the 69 SB F100 300/6 A/T is in front of my shop. Put a new starter on it and it ran, a little. The carb is on the work bench waiting a rebuild kit. I'll finish the body work Tommy started, and paint it. Lower it a little, wheels and tires, brake upgrade, you see like I said, like I need another project.......Rick

Rick,

Welcome to Fordification! We are glad you're here and hope you get lots out of this place...be sure to browse through the tech pages (at the top of the page is a bar full of options to click on). The forums are full of great folks too.

Post some pics when you can, sounds like a great truck and I like the story behind it...sorry to hear the Uncle passed away though.

Thanks for the welcome guys. There is one thing missing on the truck I can't seem to find online. The running boards or steps, just in front of the rear fenders. We could not find them in his shed. There are plenty of mid 50's running boards online, I can't find them for the 69, any ideas? Thanks again......Rick

Is it a setpside bed? You could try LMC, Steve Carpenter, Macs, I know there are a few more but cannot think of them right now. Good luck and welcome to the site.

Oh yeah we need pics.
