re: Rust converter (Eastwood)
I had a '54 Oldsmobile that had rusted out floors. I used some stuff like this on them. It did stop rust from getting worse, but the floors were still weak. I had to scrape all the loose stuff first though. Cut out anything that was real thin. It did OK, but I was just trying to cover it until I could get news pans fabricated. Ended up trading the car later, but the floors looked just like they did when I first put the stuff on. Same basic principle as POR-15/RustBullet. Seals the rusted area from oxygen, thereby keeping it from getting worse.

Well right now I need to stop the rust. Mostly places I can't really reach with a brush. Like these spots inside.

Would probably work pretty well. I'd take a wire brush and get as much loose stuff off as possible first. Just remember, when this stuff dries it gets rock hard, and will harder to re-do later.

As long as it will stop the rust on the inside I am good. Also the harder the better. The cab is in such good shape every where else I hate to replace it if I can fix it. There was six inches of dirt in there.

Thanks 69bump. I like the idea of the rust being really hard after!
