Rear Sliding Window Interchange Question

Post by cghstrojan08 »

I am wanting to put a sliding window into my 69. What years of glass will fit? Of course 67-72 but maybe hopefully 73-79 also? I really need to know tonight because I am gonna go to the junkyard tomorrow. Thanks a bunch.

73+ I do believe is a good bit larger! Marz wanted to put one in his chop top truck and I believe it ended up being ??taller?? than the stock glass.

67-72 is just 67-72. It's funny though because the next back window size went from '73 to '97.

Well, what is the chance of finding one at the junkyard? I am not gonna spend $120 from LMC for one.

SCORE! I went to the junkyard and they had about three of them in the dozen of 67-72 trucks. I got the best looking one. I now need to find a new gasket. I also got a F-500 instrument cluster and a pair of those chrome window deals that let you have the window down in the rain. There was some good looking trucks. There was a few F-100's, a couple F-250 even 4x4 ones, and I think two dually F-350's. I should have taken pictures.
