rear bumper idea

Post by layedout72 »

I really like the two piece bumper as I don't plan on having a bumper to use for "working" but, I like the whole feel of a bumper in the back. I found these 61 biscayne chrome rear bumper "guards" and I think with some work, they would look kinda cool.

Cut the tabs off, strip them, and make my own brackets and have them chromed later just paint them for now to keep the rust off. What do you guys think? I was thinking something along the lines of a roll pan, with these bolted to the frame, through the pan.

Those would look cool and work as long as someone doesn't hit you off center. :)

Cool idea

not sure the width, honestly. I was thinking 2 on each side. One on top of the other, horizontal of course.
