I'm wondering something. I've been poking around step bumpers on the net and every place I've seen has said the same bumpers fit '67 - '96 trucks...except this one I've found that says '80 on up. Was there in fact a change and the guys with the huge year range are playing fast and loose, or is the guy with the '80 not entirely right?
The bumper in the image showing for me in the top left is what I want but no one sells those!

re: Rear step bumper
The frame width is going to make a difference. The frame width on our bumps for all models F100 thru F350 is 34". With the start of the dent side trucks the frame width on F100 and F250 4x2 trucks and F100 4x4 trucks was increased to 37 and 1/2".The F250 4x4's didn't get the wider frame until mid 77.The introduction of the F350 pickups in 79 also got the wider frame as did all F150's.The F350 cab and chassis models still use the 34" frame width to this day.The guy with the 80 up was likely playing it safe in not listing the older trucks. The other outfit was likely doing as you said, playing fast and loose. If you find a bumper you like from a wide frame truck fabricating brackets to adapt it to a narrow frame isn't very hard. Hope this helps.

Thanks, Clay, that helps a lot. I actually found the universal bumper made by Fey/Westin that everyone sells online (and that Autozone/Pep Boys/LMC Truck sells) at Amazon for a big discount plus free shipping. We'll see how it turns out.
(I saved over $150, or 50%, by using Amazon. Just a head's up for you guys to not forget about them when searching for a universal product.)
