I have been collecting parts to convert my 67 SWB 240/ 3 spd manual in the floor to PS. I think (hope) I have all the parts: Column, Steering box (and brake line bracket), pump, pump bracket and three groove crank pulley. I think the pulley was on an FE. Will it fit?
The steering box and pump are junkyard finds so I was figuring to use them as cores for a "reconditioned" part from one of the auto parts houses, Autozone, OReilly's etc. If there is a better way let's hear it.

re: PS Converstion for 67 Manual
I don't think the FE and 6 cylinder pulleys interchange. As far as the recon parts go I would shop around before I would go to one of the big chain parts stores. Most of the chains use price not quality as the main criteria when selecting a component rebuilder. The old adage that you get what you pay for still holds true today.Hope this helps.

aye no quality at autozone kragen or pep boys, I think the vendors use a parts washer to rebuild everything. If I have to buy a rebuilt at at 1 of those stores I always ask how many they on the self in case I have to bring the 1st 2nd or 3rd back. which has happened. Napa is a better bet.
