rear of cab trim removal

rear of cab trim removal

I did alot of searching with no luck. I know the two short outside corner pieces are bolted but how do the long pcs come off ? Thanks, and great site. Steve.

i'm guessing they use clips that are riveted to the cab. they might just pop off with a screwdriver.

The two outside end pieces have mounting studs that extend through holes drilled in the cab wall, and are held on with nuts. Simply remove the nuts from inside the cab and those two pieces will come right off.

ALL truck side trim pieces are held on with snap-on clips in the middle portions, but the ends are bolted on. You just have to find the mounting studs for the ends and remove the retaining nuts.

Then once you remove the nuts you can normally put pressure up on the molding or down to relieve pressure off the clips and the molding will come right off.
1969 Ford F-100. 302 4 barrel, C4 auto, 9in 3.50 open rear, headers, power steering, Turq/wht, Under restoration. In other words, in a million pieces!!!

There is no Replacement for Displacment!!!
