1969 f100 p/u rear end swap

i'm looking for better gas mileage. I was told by some one that a mercury lincoln 9in rear end would have a different rear end ratio that would give me some more fuel mileage and fit in my 9in axle housing. any truth?

if you just want the thirdmember you would have to find one that has the same spline as yours.

Yes, please do. If you have an engine question, put it in the Engine forum. If you have a question about the interior, there's a forum for that as well. It's a courtesy thing, to make it easier for others who are looking for the same information find it in the future. Not too many folks are going to be looking for rearend advice in the Welcome Mat area.
