headlight doors and bezel paint

the black paint that is on the chrome of the headlight doors and all the other bezels in the truck. is it flat semigloss or gloss originally.

I'd say semi-gloss like the inner fenders and rad support.

My guess would be a matte finish like the trim black that eastwood sells in the rattle cans its the same as sems paint you should use selfetch gray primer first if theres no paint on there now.

in the auto world its referred to as matte finish not gloss not flat.

I've used rustoleum high temp barbecue paint. Looks great and dries in seconds for us impatient ones.

Thats a good Idea BBQ black has the same finish as trim black.

The truck I used it on I did a good 5 years ago. It still looks sharp.

This should have a etching quality to it since it has to stick to hot areas.
