Patching my drivers door

I had a go at getting rid if some of the rust through on my drivers door .It's the first one . It's got to get better and easier.

Looking good. Keep skipping around until it's welded up all the way around and grind it down, throw down your filler and smooth her down!

Cherry. Wish you were my neighbor. Id definately enlist you to do my four corners. I went to the welder/rust repairer and he wanted $100 for each patch like you did. Then I thought- "thats not a bad price". :o

The reason for the patch panels to cost so much for someone to do is because it is time consuming. Cutting it out, blasting it or POR 15 the inside, new patch cut out and weld in, grind smooth, bondo, sand, prime, etc etc. Lots of work and people don't realize that.

I just found out on my 69 I have to do patch panels on the front and rear of the doors. I'm going the same route you are going with yours. Just a little time consuming, but no money involved since my time is free. Looks good.
1969 Ford F-100. 302 4 barrel, C4 auto, 9in 3.50 open rear, headers, power steering, Turq/wht, Under restoration. In other words, in a million pieces!!!

There is no Replacement for Displacment!!!
