Another new member

Post by 67longbed »

I have been looking around this site for a while now and have learned a lot. I bought a 1967 F250 lwb a couple of weeks ago. I just want something to drive back and forth to work in. I am not to sure if I will be putting a lot of work into it. I was looking at the VIN information on this website and have a question. I have E81 under body on my plate but I don't see it listed under the 67 info on this site. I am just curious what seats and color came in the truck.

Welcome! :wel:

You're right, the 'E' paint code wasn't used until '68 (Skyview Blue) as far as I know. Just to verify that you have what you say you have, are you sure your truck is a '67? The door (and VIN tags) are often replaced with junkyard units, and the owner might not have taken the trouble to swap the old VIN tag over when doing so.

The '81' simply means it's a conventional cab truck, as opposed to something like a cowl-and-chassis unit.
