Electric Cooling Fan ?s
Anyone ever done the conversion over to an electric cooling fan??? I was thinking it wouldnt be too hard, but I have no idea how to hook up the wiring for the sensors and relays. What do you guys think?

There are photo's of an installation (not mine) in bluef250 gallery. There are lot's of way of doing the electric. The Mark VIII fan draws more than 40 amps so you should run a relay and some substantial wire.

re: Electric Cooling Fan ?s
I have bought Hayden electric fans and put them on my Toyota 4X4 and my 4Runner-both 88 models with clutch fans and they work great. The engine heats up faster in the winter and the fans run way faster than your engine idles in the summer sitting in traffic. The Hayden fans have good instructions and are easy to mount. You have to buy the thermostat seperate. There are two kinds, one is preset to cut the fan on at 180 degrees and one is adjustable.I am not sure of the limit of degrees on that one.I used the preset one on both trucks.I am in the process of putting one on my 69.Also an added bonus is a little more horse power that the engine used to turn the fan that is not there anymore!
