is it possible to put a LWB bed on a SWB?
says i've got a 114in WB on the door tag,
but it's got a long bed on my truck.
or are the LWB trucks 114in?

Put a tape measure on the ground and measure the wheel base for yourself. Center of hub to center of hub. I agree that the tag dont belong to the truck.
I dont believe that there is any way an 8' bed will go on a shortbed frame without major modifications. A long bed is longer both in front of, and behind the wheel well.

No, you can't put a LWB box on a SWB truck...not without a LOT of surgery. As stated, it's MUCH more likely that your driver's door has been replaced at some point with one from a SWB truck and the VIN tag was never switched over. Compare the door VIN with the one stamped on the frame.
