I was gonna wait until spring, remove the bed, then flip the cab over onto it s back and do the floor pans and supports.....
But I would like to get it done before winter, but don't have the time to remove the front clip, bed, and everything else to flop the cab over.
Any advice on leaving the cab where it is and going to town?
Or would I be better off waiting 'til spring?
Thanks!!

re: What's the easiest way to replace floor pans and support
i wouldn't see why it couldn't be done while it was still on the frame. the floor support replacement pieces are about 6 inches long so i would think it could be done also. i would start by getting the seat and all the other type of materials out of the cab and off the floor. and even the fuel tank for safety reasons. then i would measure and mark the old floor pans using your new floor pans as a template. then using a saw or grinder or which ever tool you perfer cut the old floor pans out just about 2 inches shy of where the marks were leaving material to weld on to. i wouldn't butt joint the metal. i would lap weld. if you can. then clean everything up including the bottom of the cab mount that goes under the floor. and weld back in my new floor pans. the floor support i would do basically the same way. i would try to lap weld them onto the old piece of support.
