painting valve covers
i have my valve coves down to bare metal.. what should i do to make the new paint stick ?? i would like to have them powder coated but no funds right now..thanks for any help .............

I you are going to use high temp paint (recommended) don't do anything. It's formulated to go on bare metal. Primer would flake off and take the paint with it.
