fender removal...
I think so far I have pulled....7 bolts that I believe were holding the fender on, but it seems as though the top of it where it meets te cowl, and also the front is being held on. Any clue/help why they would seem to be stuck. I cant seem to find anymore bolts other than the ones that hold your grill/light buckets on, but they seem to be removed once the fenders are off....

In addition to the bolts across the top of the fender which attach it to the inner fenderwell, you've got a bolt at the lower rear of the fender (attaching it to the rocker panel area) and one at the top rear of the fender, accessed through the hinge hole. Then there are 5-6 (or so) along the front, attaching it to the radiator support.

re: fender removal...
thanks keith, i got it off. now my problem is that in the removal of the inner hinge area bolt, i dropped a short extension and seem to have "lost it". Did my truck win, or is there a way to get it back out, without taking the door off or something as drastic as that....drastic being i dont WANT to do that

It would have dropped down into the bottom of the door pillar, and will be next to impossible to retrieve without removing the bottom door hinge. However, you can't just remove one hinge, which means you'd have to remove the door, and then you'll have a bit of a hassle with re-installing it and getting all the body lines to match. If it were me I'd just write if off and buy another.
If you ARE determined to dig it out, use a scribe to mark the position of the hinge and hinge bolts, to make reinstallation much easier.

ya, i have done doors before and well, like i said....i dont wanna do it again until im at the point of painting the truck LOL. I just dont want it to rattle around when im driving and all. I may just let it be until that part of the build comes. By that time im sure to of forgotten, and will have a nice suprise to find my extension haha.

I have a 1/4 in. nut driver inside my dash somewhere. I've been back in there twice since and still no sign of it.
It still bugs me when I open my tool box and it's missing. Makes me want to take the entire dash out. ![Laughing ](./images/smilies/icon_laughing01.gif)

re: fender removal...
well, seems like i gave the truck too much credit. Im gunna need to find a grill i like, i hate the 72 grill (plus its broken) and both fenders are worthless. one folded in which i didnt expect right after taking it apart, and then wouldnt come away from the grill cuz to previous owner just ghetto rigged it and stripped the bolt that hold them together, but the pass. side body line is crushed from whatever happened to it. all in all, its what I expected in the back of my mind going into a build like this, so i will take it with everything else good that happens.

re: fender removal...
try an extending magnet to get your extension out. i know there not very strong but you still might be able to do it if you fish with it enough.
