Lower shock mount bracket

Post by dcbullet »

On the radius ar m the brackets that connect the shock to the radius ar m can be mounted so that either the shock sits "high" on the radius ar m or "low". I took apart the front end of my donor truck without noting which way it goes. :D On my 68, the shock is mounted "low" and based on the RS and LS lettering on the bracket, I think that's how it is supposed to be on my 77 doner's front end. Can someone confirm?

From this picture of Keith's build, I think he's got the brackets switched around and installed on the wrong radius ar ms. :hmm:

i think the shock mounts are correct in that picture. the radius ar m looks to be on the wrong side maybe that doesn't matter though.

Well, the radius ar m in the picture is on the correct side but maybe they just mounted the shock differently in different years.
