FIREWALL REAR HOOD SUPPORTS

Can i use these supports with a 1971 hood , in the id forum, ford went to four rubber bumpers and done away with the rear hood supports ? I guess what i want to know is did the inner skin of the hood change at the point of support from the earlier 68 ?

No, that part of the inside hood skin remained the same, even after mid-'68 when Ford quit using those rear supports. So yes, you can use the later hoods. However, the 'mid-68 and later firewalls aren't drilled for those supports, so it'll be up to you to correctly position them.
