Exiled

Post by willowbilly3 »

I just popped in on FTE today. I was trying to find the address of a junkyard I had posted about once. Seems I am now among the shuned. I was able to log on a month or so ago and even made a couple posts.

What? Are you actually banned? Did they say anything to you as far as an explanation? Did you do something wrong?

Funny thing... I just logged on to FTE and got this message-
"Our records show that you haven't posted in over 2 weeks. Remember that FTE is a community and we need your participation! Don't be afraid to post and be a part of the action. "

Maybe if you don't post in a while you get the boot?

Well it didn't actually say banned, it said I was denied access and gave the little 2 excuse menu. One being I wasn't registered(which I must still be, it greeted me) and the other being that the administrator may have denied access for some reason. I did get the welcome willowbilly at the top which reminded me I hadn't posted in over 2 weeks. The last time I was there it had been maybe 3-4 months since I had logged in and this time less than half that. So either they booted me or changed their criteria for getting rid of inactive members. I didn't stir up any crap when I was there last. I just threw in my 2 cents on a couple tech questions.

It isn't anything I will loose sleep over, just one more chapter in this comical little soap opera.

Ken if you or any of your toady spys are reading this, which you probably are, I hope that we can be an example to you. We have no flaming, no trolls, no deleted posts and welcome ANY links to other sites that may have something of interest to the members. Almost without exception everyone here behaves like gentlemen ( and at least 2 ladies).

We would even welcome you to show yourself and defend your position since about the only badmouthing we do is toward FTE.

I can honestly say I have never been to this FTE site. I don't know where to look. (Not that I want to) I read Kieths story when it was the old board and I knew this was where I wanted to be. That being said, somebaody give me the URL and lets see how fast I can get banned. I WANT TO BE BANNED!!!!!!!

Yeah, just go over there, sign up and tell them about this great 67-72 forum and post a link to this site, that should do it.

Ok this may seem silly. But I went registered and went to the forums.
First. What a overwhelming busy look to the site.
Second. I looked at about a dozen post and they are all new ford trucks. Yuck- I own a 97 f-250 but so does about a million other people. How many own a 68 ranger with 70000 original miles.
Third- I so didn't like it that I didnt even post in order to get banned. Sorry I chickened out.
KEITH- Please keep FORDIFICATION the way it is. A Simple Friendly community.
Mike
PS Has anyone ever read there terms of use agreements. "Shareholders" whats up with that.
Thats my last word on the subject

Yep that his MO, he so spineless he will not even let you know why. We all know why though. Since he is a nitwit and a control freak, he is afraid of any "competition". If he truly cared about truck owners he would welcome the sharing of information, but he does not care about Truck owners, only himself and his sense of control. It makes him feel like a big man, and if others have a place to go, his control might slip... Marxist…

I looked at the FTE website after reading how they banned Kieth. I did find a WELL used 71 SWB that I had been looking for for some time. I joined ONLY to contact the owner of the truck and then found out that you have to have 15 posts and two weeks time on the board before you can e-mail a member. So I went through several of the forums one night and just did easy posts (mostly on the Truck of the Week forum) and got my 15 posts in. Within a few minutes of my last post I got an e-mail saying that they knew what I was doing and don't think they weren't going to be watching what I was doing. I explained that I saw a truck in the classifieds and that I was following thier rules for new members. Anyways to make short story long, I bought the 71 and have NOT been back to FTE since I got it.

By the way Kieth glad to see another update (I have been lurking here for about a year or so watching your progress when I remembered to) sorry to hear about the pinholes in the tank. My wife and I own a motorcycle shop that has a product similar to what you are using but the sealer is thicker than what you showed on your update. Of course it is made for MC's so it would take alot more kits to seal your tank than a MC tank. The products name is Kreem. Good luck on the sealing job.
