Resistance when turning right

Post by HOWDY69 »

I am getting a little resistance at about 1 or 2 o'clock when I turn to the right. It happens at the same spot every time and is gone as soon as I turn past it. I notice it at slow speeds when I slow down to make a tight right turn like pulling into the driveway. I will be inspecting the steering this weekend but I just wondered if this problem rings any bells with you folks.

Manual steering.

Wait until 3 o'clock to turn? Sorry couldnt resist. Could be something binding up in your steering linkage or steering box? Could be tie rod ends binding up?

Get underneath the truck and start wiggling all the tie rods, the drag links... grease everything up, and your king pins too.

Most likely a dry spot in the under greased king pin busings.

King pins. Try shooting some grease in 'em.
