Thanks, Dustin. When I think I can find the time to come by, I'll contact you offlist. It's my first crew cab, my first 300 and my first NP435, so I'd like to gt a bead on what kind of performance I should expect to get out of this truck before I do any big mods - or go out and find a 390 to drop in her (I'm more familiar with FE's).averagef250 wrote:
A stocker 1V 300 should move your truck around just fine. In my experience, a carb 300 is pretty close in peak power to the EFI version, but the EFI has far better off idle power and cold driveability. Iron log intake manifolds don't like cold starts. You're very welcome to come by. My shop is right off I-5, south of Wilsonville.
