so this jerry's paint place should have all of what i need? its 30min. away according to yahoo maps.

also, how what dulling additive thing do i need for interior paint?

ive learned the most than in any other thread too :thup: i cant wait to start stripping paint off and using block sanders :D i dont think it will be fun after weeks of block sanding though, but i cant wait :)

i may even go down there this weekend for some sanding stuff.

Well I just grilled my painter buddy about interior shine, he said only the top of the dash needs to be flat or the sun will blind you, so according to him you paint the inside the same as the out. As for the whole process, he will go to bare metal, apply filler where needed directly, etching high build primer wet sand, clean, base then clear. This is in ideal conditions in a dehumidified shop. If you're going to bare metal (outside or in a tent) you have to epoxy coat immediatly, then bring somewhere in a good dry shop to prime and paint. Humidity and sunlight do no good for your primer, it could make a 10 year difference on your finnish. Every pro has their own way so the rest is your call, good luck.

This is his latest project, a '70s landcruiser, air brushing like a madman, these are the only "apropriate" pics of this beast :lol:

Ryan R&M makes a flating agent that you add to paint to dull it. Its very simple to use. I used to use to match the faded aged look of cars that the customer didnt want the repair to look to shiney.
