Putting a power booster on manual drum brakes

I didn't use any bushings going through the bracket because I don't remember any coming out of the '72 bracket. And there shouldn't be any movement of the bolt anyway, right? All movement will be the sleeve turning around on the bolt, and the sleeve has the plastic bushings that came out of it. They still looked ok to me so I put them back in. I just couldn't see butchering up the dash to make the wider neck of the '72 bracket fit. Do you see any problems with what I'm doing?

it might be ok as long as you dont have a clutch pedal to create stress on the bracket from constant use.

It's an automatic, so no clutch.

What exactly is different about the '67 booster from other years? I pulled a booster from a '69 at a Pic 'N Pull but haven't tried installing it yet. Am I wasting my time?

Yes, you're wasting your time...unless you go back to the Pic 'N Pull and also grab the brake pedal mounting bracket that matches that booster.

I installed a brake booster and MC out of a 79 F-250 into my 71 F-250 just fine. Pedal and everything else worked just fine.

I should point out that mine is a 67, and 67's are unique in some ways. For a 67 you will need a booster made for 67 only. I bought mine here.

So I've got a master from a 79 and all the disc stuff to go with it. There is a booster on Ebay, and the seller assures me that because there is an adjustable rod coming out of the booster into the cab this unit will work on a 1967...Is this true?
