re: Lowering flexomatic
the shackle un bolts from the rear of the spring, your thinking of the hanger thats mounted to the frame, you dont need to mess with that part....you really should just try taking out your helper spring,it might give you the look your after for nuthin.....

Yes sir thanks again. finished sanding the radiator support and started the hood. There was only two coats on top of it which makes it easy to knock off. I want to do a induction cowl on it, but don't want fiber glass on metal. I was looking for a weld on scoop but no luck. I don't think anyone make those. Maybe I could have one custum fabbed

I did the djm beams on the front and a flip kit on the rear. it looks good. but it surely cost a few dollars.

I'm going through the exact same situation on my 68 F100 2wd.
I have not been able to find drop leaf springs from any of the aftermarket mfgs, got an e-mail in to the guys at AIM, but no response yet.
I already removed the helper, it dropped about 3/4" in the rear. It appears that we need to obtain the stock leaf springs that are non-flexomatic, then combine those with a set of drop shackles.
We do not need hangers, only shackles. Now, to find a junkyard in the SE Michigan area that has a 1967 F100.......
