They are growing on me but if I was to do this again I would have gone with 265/65/16 but that boat has sailed. The truck has a neat stance to me but need to see it outside with the box on from a distance to see if the tires are filling to much of the wheel wells.
I finished off the wiring and was getting ready to test it when I came across a resistance from pos. to neg of 49 ohms with everything off??
So my next step will be to pull all the fuses and start installing them one by one to see where this is at. The sad thing about the Painless wiring kit is they don't give you their wiring schematic so troubleshooting this off factory diagrams may be fun.

Those tires are perfect! I've always loved these 67-72's with the larger profile tires on them. Great selection and great work! Can't wait to see what comes next!

Alternator / voltage hooked up? That's usually it but it should be in the Meg ohms, not ohms.
Tires look good. Wheel offset's a little too Tonka Truck for a 2wd but doesn't look atrocious. 225/75 has a 6.64" sidewall. 265/75 is 7.82" sidewall. You just gave the truck a 1.25" lift and changed your rear gear ratio a bit.
I'm 265/75 up front and 225/85 paired in the back on my F-350 dually. Looks good outside, like a work truck should.
You were right on Jamie once I found the circuit that was loading at 49 ohms and pulled the fuse, the resistance with both the alternator and voltage regulator went up to 20.3 K ohms and just the alternator connected went to 3.8 M ohms.
What I was left with both switches off on the dome and hazard circuit I get a flashing rear light.(I am missing the other rear 1157 bulb?) All the signals and hazards work fine when initiated except for left rear.(bulb missing) My signal and high beam indicators work as well as all the gauges but I have no dash lights on anything, maybe dimmer not engaging?. Horn works and engine turns over with 12 volts at the coil so I think that will be okay. Wipers kinda work one speed only, I think I may have a flaky switch there but the washer pump works. Heater fan controls work so I guess not to bad but still lots of troubleshooting to do.

All good here now, because of the wiring kit accommodating so many models there are extras that are left dead ended. What I had done was over think it and tried to have them all terminate some where which gave me a jumpered out hazard switch for the rear lights. Now on to the dash illumination lights and replace wiper switch, will install intermittent wiper switch at this point too.

Man i missed the wheel installation. THOSE LOOK GREAT!!! Really makes is look meaty and fits it well. Can't wait to see it with the bed on it. Glad your getting your wiring bugs sorted out they can be the worst!

Yeah the wheels work and the tires may be filling the wheel well a bit more than what I would like too. My thoughts though because this is a 3/4 ton, it needs to have a different look than the 1/2 ton so these beefy wheels will give it that look. Worst case scenario the front tires may be changed out and then have another set of rubber for the rear to burn off!!!

I got the rest of my wiring bits today so now I can finish off the electrical stuff. I went to bleed my brakes and now a new wheel cylinder is needing to go in on the rear.....always something.

I do really want to see this think finished up and out of the garage because its looking good...
The tire size is good. I have the same things up front on mine and they fit well. The wheel offset makes them look a little goofy and the pictures don't do it justice.

Mine has a mystery leak that keeps draining the front 1/2 of the MC. I think it's weeping out the cover as I never see anything wet elsewhere. About every two weeks I need more juice. Going late model aluminum this summer.
I finished off the front wiring and installed the headlights.
I had a little faux pas with the polishing of the headlight retaining ring....almost lost a finger, stupid...stupid.
So I had another one to replace this one but a little scary trying to get it polished.
It took me putting on gloves and doing it a different way to make sure I left with all my digits!

Holy cow, that probably darn near gave you a heart attack! Glad you came out unscathed...retaining your digits is a good thing. I’ve seen a few finger amputations when I cover the ER...they can reattach them sometimes, but dexterity is never the same.
I also had a crash course with my polisher... -8 dings taken out, plus 2 more incurred during the polishing process...I learned that polishers don’t like curvy things...
