Does Halloween count? Kids used to love to bring up the highboy and put a scary guy in it... it always worked! freaked out the local kids!

Re: Bumps At Work!
Last Saturday, me and several volunteers were at our soccer complex cutting up a tree that fell down. One of the guys had a '77 4x4 dentside with a 9 foot flatbed dump. We also took down a smaller pine tree that was dead. the guy with the Dentside took the big chunks of wood for firewood and I hauled two loads of brush the ones below. it was good to see two old Fords working like they like to.

Re: Bumps At Work!
Today one of my elderly clients for whom I mow their grass needed me to rake their leaves curbside so the leaf-sucker-upper can suck up the leaves tonight. I use my Bump to haul my mower, weedeater, and blower. Today she hauled my blowers, rakes, tarps. There was a pile of tree branches and twigs that had collected beneath the one tree so I threw those branches in the truck and dumped them when I was finished.
Below see the pile of leaves! it took 3 hours to do this.

Re: Bumps At Work!
I'm getting to know where the bumps live in the areas around me. I see this guy on a regular basis, and he's definitely a worker. It's good to see. Not pretty, not a daily driver, not sadly rusting away on the street or in a driveway or yard, just a good old truck, working for a living.
Cheers,
Duane

Re: Bumps At Work!
So have done a little work in recent history....
Back in September.... Crop destruction tag, this year was hay fed, last years was grain fed, all depends on which field they are destroying that year.
Ol' Frankin Ford had to pack it out.
Moving stuff from Portland to the new house near Olympia. Got roughly 14 mpg going as fast as the truck would....60-70 mph.
Hopefully i will have some more work pictures soon enough.

Re: Bumps At Work!
We had a tree come down at our soccer complex and it broke a neighbor's fence so on Saturday we cleaned it up. We put the brush on my truck and I hauled it to the dump. I had all my side boards on. It took 2 trips.
Here is a pic.

Nice truck! F250 4 x 4 flatbed dump? Nice. How big is your bed? That is a good load of wood you have on there.

Wife and I helped my old Boy Scout Troop by picking up Christmas Trees for their fund raiser. I think this is the 12th year I have participated with a 4 year highatous in the middle while i was in the military.
