Finally got the timing light out and bumped it up from 8° to 12°, and it's like a completely different truck. Now I've just got to find a test tach to put on it and set the total timing and do some fine tuning, and I'll be in business. Or at least I'll be able to spend some time on the myriad other things I want to do with it.
