Re: 67 4x4
That is funny you mention the manifold. Took it to my exhaust guy Thursday and we decided to go 2.25 pipe past the starter/frame. 2.50 everywhere else. If you don't tell I won't either . Trying to get the engine to fire now....Edelbrock EFI not happy.
Tires are 255/85/16 Maxxis Big Horn. They measure a little over 33in tall.

Great choice on the 429, they run very strong. I am an FE guy, but the next one I build for the 71 will be a big 429/460 based stroker.
71 F-100 SB 4x4, 461 FE, Edelbrock Pro-flo 4, 4 speed, 4 inch softride lift, all poly bushings, integral PS, most mods installed since the 80's
70 Mustang Sportsroof 489 FE, EFI, TKO-600 5 speed, 4.11s

Truck looks good.
I thought that electronic ignition was 12v running and points was 6v.

Re: 67 4x4
Thanks, the truck is in the body shop now. Have been busy polishing the bright work and dog dish hubcaps
After talking to the nice folks at Edelbrock I decided to go with an MSD ready to run distributor in conjunction with the Edelbrock EFI. The MSD uses a full 12volts so I bypassed the pink resistor wire that stepped down the coil voltage for the original points system. Also the MSD gives a very clean, dedicated tack signal output which is critical for the ECU.
Will post more pic when I get truck back from paint.

I'm digging those hubcaps. Are they Mercury brand or what? I'm restoring a Jeep J4000 and keep going back and forth between hubcaps no hubcaps

Re: 67 4x4
120 days.....that's not to bad. My fathers latest restoration was in "paint jail" for three years! At least your trucks home now and she looks great! I'm really digging the look of the steel wheels and hubcaps, it's getting me thinking about my truck. I look forward to seeing your progress.

Have been busy hanging trim and clearing the shelves of parts. You know the project is nearing the end when you start seeing bare shelves.
It did get the glass in. Gotta hang mirrors, tailgate, door panels. Ufta.
