Yeah, your cab (and more than likely the frame) is definitely a 67, the rest of the truck is from everywhere. You can definitely do a rat-rod restoration on that truck without much trouble. If you want to restore that to something that resembles stock, you have a LOT of work cut out for you. But thats the joy of these trucks, you can pretty much do what you want to them and they will keep on truckin!!

Re: New Member. Saved a 67'
Yup, you got yourself most (some?) of a 67.
Needless to say the heater knob has been modified.
Off the top of my head, aside from the obvious body work that needs done...
You can make the hood resemble a 67 with the right model year emblems on it, easy enough there.
Any 67-72 bed should do the trick as long as it has the appropriate trim and sized for your wheelbase. IIRC the tailgate for a 67 is a bit different but I can't recall now.
Weld up the sun roof, replace the heater knob, find an original radio if you want to go that hardcore. The rest should be mechanical and body work. Are your front fenders rusted out?
Personally I think if you have the devotion, you can make this back into looking like a proper 67. Or, as was suggested make it into a cool rat rod. But it's at that moment where you can go either way which is pretty cool.

Re: New Member. Saved a 67'
This truck is hardly getting a full resto. Im basically making it so it wont fall apart, give it a paint job, and taking it in the bush. . The drivers side inner fender is toast, passenger side front cab corner is toast, and the driver side rear cab corner is toast. Other than that, its pretty solid. Im gonna remove the gas tank and put in a tank under the box. If anyones interested in my tank, im in northern ontario (sudbuy). Make me an offer and its gone. Im picking up a set of 35/14.5 mud tires on monday for it.

Well the nice thing is any 67-72 body panels will fit. If you wind up pulling stuff from the interior, keep in mind a lot of it is 67 only (like the rear view mirror) and there is bound to be someone who will want it.
Be curious to see how the project goes, make for a cool bush truck.

from choo-choo town.
And I always said my truck was a "Basketcase" LOL. Agreed with those above, no bump is not worth saving.
Your truck appears to have the 70-72 steering column in it, I'd give you a truck bed if I had one, (to get the chebby one off of it)!

Lol. my cousin wants to find me a box too to get the chev box off of it! A friend of a friend of mine has a mid 70's ford with a decent box apparently. Trying to get a price on that.basketcase0302 wrote: from choo-choo town.
