Theres a tech article linked to keiths info. the power steering is this link..... http://www.fordification.com/tech/powersteering.htm

Power brakes is simple as adding a booster and power master cyl if u wanna keep drums. if u want discs, heres a thread about that..... http://www.fordification.com/tech/discbrakes01.htm I did this mod and love it. you put 73-79 discs and beams on and it does well but isnt terribly difficult. hope this helps answer your question.

Currently in the KTown Ramstein area. On the bump...the guy isn't answering my phone calls so i guess he isn't so interested in selling...so i guess i will continue searching.

Thanks for the information on power steering conversions.

I am a former Oregonian, born and raised on the west side of the state. I was stationed at Ramstein for two years as my first duty station. I had a great time and a lot of good memories of that place. I would love to go back if I could. Maybe someday. I have heard that it has grown so much since I have been gone with the terminal and many other things.

Hey guys thanks for all the welcomes...my bump quest is getting closer the gent who i was talking to suddenly decided to get me pictures when i told him i was looking at another one too....hmm....i just wasn't as engrossed with it, but we want tell him that. So anyway he sent me a picture of the vin plate and it doesn't look anything like the one in the tech file. What do you guys think? I have doctored the picture so you can read the vin, but i cant get anything to show in the other boxes, no matter what i do with the colors/darkness ect.

Image

Also here is a picture of the truck, from my understanding the wet spot is from some water, and not a aftermarket paint job.

What you guys think?

On a side note about Germany, Ramstein has exploded from what i am told, ive only been here a little under 3 years and over a third of that i've been on all expense paid vacations. I honestly try to avoid Ramstein i don't want to say its crowded but just the number of people and parents dragging kids around etc. However the bad thing is there arnt many other PX/BX to shop at since most of the other bases around Germany are shutting down. Germany has been a blast my wife and i have really enjoyed traveling but i am ready to come home...but she isn't of course.

Anyway thanks alot let me know what you think, i am kinda worried since this picture of the data plate doesnt match the one in the tech guide.
Thanks
KRob

Thats the VIN sticker from inside the driver's door. Looks the same as mine on my 72. And as for the truck, it looks pretty good from the picture and definately has a lot of potential!

Alright guys....the question is.....i have 8-12 months left in Europe i don't know if i am staying or getting out of the service at the end of this one. Money isn't the issue....except that i could put the money to work making money. So do i buy this truck and have it sit and wait for me to get home or do i wait until i get home.

My father checked it out and its pretty sound... very little rust, engine runs fine, shifts fine, 4x4 works.

Thoughts?
