Well that would explain it. How did you find that info? Do you have a Ford master parts catalogue? I talked to every dealer in a 100 mile radius to get the bearing I needed and only one was willing to crack out the microfische, and after he called me back he told me bits and pieces were missing or it didn't funtion. Either way I really appreciate the investigation, it really helped me a ton. Thanks!

I may have a copy or two of the MPC's! LOL In reality I have over 1000 Ford parts catalogs between fiche and books. Hawkrod

I definitely have some catching up to do, though I doubt I'll ever measure up. Here's a shot I just took of the back half of my computer area showing my reference library. There are some items on the lower shelves you can't see too, plus the microfiche (all Fomoco from the '50s up through the 90s) and several other MPCs on CD (all Ford/Lincoln/Mercury covering the '60s and '70s).

As you can see, I've got the '64-'72 truck MPC spread out on my desk, I've been scanning the schematics. Just finished that, so now I need to get it reassembled. (and it looks like we've got the exact same microfiche machine.)

Keith
You ever cease to amaze me. I have just a short sentence for a description. Truely "fordified"!
wonder how we can get 'fordified" in the dictionary, (I'm sure "gearhead" is in there).

Keith, I don't know if know it but the fiche reader you have is the better one (the two in the pictures are not the same). There were two (I have a couple of each) and the dual density one was much easier to use. The lever on the bottom left that changes the magnification means you have the better one. The one I use most often is the same as the one you have but the one I posted a picture of is one I am selling (I already had the picture so I used it). The readers were all the same because Ford contracted for them and a regular fiche reader is not powerful enough to read the high density Ford fiche. I have the manual for the reader as well as the parts list along with the paperwork that Ford sent out back in the 80's when they went to fiche. I also have a computer from a parts department from about 2002. They were proprietary and so you won't see them often but I went to a Federal bankruptcy sale and picked one up at a defunt dealership. The data on the Ford computer can't be used on another one, it has its own operating system and software! Hawkrod

You guys are truly "Ford Nuts" and I couldn't have figured it out without your help. Thanks again.
