so is that all hooked up tot a water wheel? or a electric motor? a water wheel would be cool to match the rest of the setup. but not everything can be perfect.

I run it off an electric motor 99% of the time, but I do have a 1917 International one lung flywheeler that runs it occasionally. It sounds like a 12 ga going off every second though so, I don't use it often.

What's funny is that my 70 bump is the newest machine I own. I had a 94 F150 XLT Lariet El Dorado Brougham blah blah ect...that I sold when all the gadgets and shiny trinkets started breaking...stuff like the electric windows, ignition, radio, door locks ect.

I see it different from Fordman, I was thinking a strong 3 phase motor would be the coolest. :)

I really enjoy removing "gadgets and trinkets" from stuff, simplifying things has always been a major
interest of mine. LOL :) That '94 would have been stripped of a bunch of that stuff if I'd'a had it. :)
Modifying things just for the heck of it is part of that process.

I'm converting a '91 Edweena Bauer E4OD to 2wd with a ZF and MAF.
The driver side window will be crank, just like a BIG truck. LOL :)
The steenkeen radio will be history along with the antenna hole! :)
Already got rid of the tilt column with its broken plastic knuckle.
The ignition switch will be on the dash BTW, it's from a '74 C700. :)
Re-pinned to match my '75 F150 tho. ;)

It's ok, you can just call me "nutty boy" if you want. LOL :)

I do use a 3 ph motor hooked to a phase converter. As for the 94...I never "bonded" with the truck. It had a 302 that was ok but nothing compared to my previous 71 bump with a 360...except for mpg of course. The suspension was squishy too. I decided that if I was going to put the effort into making the perfect truck, I'd get another bump. After extensive reflection, I came to the conclusion that the 67-72 Ford represented the high water mark in truck technology. Fast enough to run the highway, simple enough mechanically to maintain and fix myself without a lot of hassle, devoid of all the gadgets, diodes and trinkets that look good when you buy new but become a pain in the butt when your window won't roll up in February...it looks like a truck should look, smells like a truck should smell and sounds like a truck should sound. This is my third, my father had 2 plus, it's now a "classic".

He said the mill was capable of producing the same yearly tonnage as Bethlehem Steel at it's peak in the late 50's when Bethlehem employed 30,000 people. Bethelehem made a whole lot of different items too, not just I beams and link channel. Still, it was impressive and sad at the same time.
Im having a hard time believing that. Bethlehem had like what, 4 plants?
My dad worked for a season at the Lakawana NY plant.

Whats sad is the original plant is now a casino.
