Nah it doesn't, I've had the one on mine filled many times and even with me sitting in the truck with a full tank it sits level

The inframe tank on the 67-72 F250 series came on all the Camper Specials as standard and when the Camper Specials were not in the lineup the Sport Customs had the tank. It is 25 Gallons.

My 69 had 3 options and my 71 has 3 options internally, the 19.5 was/is in both. There was 18.5 For F100s, F250 350 17 for Chassis-cowl models(bed included) and 19.5 For F250 350 chassis-cab (frame rail) models.

My Camper Special does not have a frame tank, only an in cab. The sales literature does not show a frame tank as standard on any model, it was strictly an option according to Ford. Keith has the sales brochures posted on this site and they do not say anything about the frame tank except they are optional. The CS was always an option, there was not a time from 67-72 when it was not offered. Also, teh Sport Custom did not come with a frame tank standard either from what Keiths stuff says. We have seen this on this site before, the CS option did not include a lot of things that people say it did. You really should read the brochures and see what was actually included. It wasn't as much as many assume. Ed

I did read the brochures and I worked for Ford from 70 to 72 before going in the Navy and the Option was in all the Sport Customs in Colorado. So option or not it was standard there.

Fuel line size and any gaskets they are made of different rubber. Diesel fuel can swell some rubbers that gas cannot.

So it is ok to use a diesel fuel tank for gas fuel but not a gas tank for for diesel fuel?

I had never heard that. I usually try and verify stuff through original documentation but since you say you personally checked every truck in the entire state I guess I will have to accept it as fact. Ed

Exactly. Ed is right. My 70 Sport custom F250 2wd didn't have the frame tank either. It also was a drum brake manual steering truck as well. Saying things like "Camper Specials..." or "Sport Customs..."is just inaccurate. For example: Some people think that just because it is a Camper Special that it automatically has a 390 engine. That is just not true. I've seen several that had 360's and front drum brakes (the brakes were the wider drums but still drums) with an F25Y...VIN. Dragon also stated that there were 3 cab tank capacities yet he only stated 2 (18.5 and 19.5 gallons).
