Re: Previous owner of truck is liar!!
Yea, mine old one didn't bolt in which is why I hit it. But I bought one that said it was for small block fords, and it didnt fit. So I jb welded it, hopefully it holds, but that one came with the bracket so all should be good. I got some ceramic paint for my engine and it looks amazing, a chrome air cleaner and chrome tappet covers and it will be a good looking motor.

Yeah i got burned when buying my 85 pickup from this jackoff. He said no rust in this truck at all. I was a rookie at knowing how to look for puddy then, i'm a pro now. The entire bedsides were puddy. The guy basically boyd coddingtoned the truck. Looked great til the first time i washed it when the puddy started cracking. Now i got a friend who scraps old vehicles. Everytime he gets a Ford Pickup from 67 to 86 he stops at my house and see's if i want some parts or the entire truck. Usually i get some good body panels free of charge. I bought my project that i'm working on now for 200 bucks. It's a 74 F100 2WD Short Bed. Running 302 C4 auto. (Junking the small block to put in a 557 Big Block Ford.) Needs a cab. At least when you intentionally buy junk you don't feel like you got ripped off so bad. Only bad thing is a lot more work. Good Luck with your project man.

Re: Previous owner of truck is liar!!
wingnut i got my truck from posted my truck for sale as 39,000 orig miles...when i was looking at it he kept trying to make the case even though i said nothing about it...ever seen a seat worn to the springs at 39,000 or clutch and brake lever pads worn all the way thru exposing 90% of the metal pedals...a bald original ply tire as the spare and 4 bald radials as the current tires........apparently always driven on dirt roads.....there were a load of hints that he was blowing smoke...the motor was dogged hammered and done and when i took it apart to take a look....it was .40 over already....
...basicaly i ignored the guy and made the choice based on what i wanted...no suprise he took a lowball offer ![Driving :drive:](./images/smilies/icon_steering.gif)

Well on most people that have real good body jobs they do glazing puddy, I use puddy where my rust is too, but I make sure i clean the rust off and over coat it. But for glazing puddy, they putty the whole truck, and sand it down flat. It works really well, and is best when done proffesionally.

Yea, but people do bs. Alot of times they dont tell you if its rebuilt and they lie, the moral of the story is you get what you paid for.
