heater not working..

the only thing with wires going to it in the fresh air heater is the speed control for the heater. the wire that is coiled. i cant even think of its name now. but it doesnt provide heat until the engine warms up. it is a switch that makes the fan have mroe than one speed.

I wasn't getting any heat so I started looking for blockage in the heater hoses. I found some hard stuff that looked like compressed white sand in an aluminum "T" near the front of the engine.
