I bought the book by Steve Christ on how to build a bigblock ford, it is very good book, it was published by HP books. this book is devoted to the fe engine.

Does it have pretty good info on FE motors?

Yes. It covers the differences between car and truck FE's, what to look for in a core, etc. In fact, ALL it covers are FE's; it does not cover the 385 series big blocks (429/460).
