Ok, my anti rattle kit and vent window seals came yesterday, and today I was able to install the passenger side. I am happy to say that the $69.99 kit from NPD does include all seals to do BOTH doors. It has 4 pieces for each door: 1 felt/rubber run that goes from the inside bottom of the track up the rear and across the top, ending at the division bar; 1 shorter felt/rubber run that goes down the division bar; and the two pieces that go on the inside and outside where the glass protrudes through the door. Quality is A+, and fit was great. I think the only reason these are $69 and DC's are $140 is because these are made in Thailand, where DC's are made in the good ol' USA. I really like to support our guys, but it's awful hard when you're building on a budget and they are half the price.

BTW, the vent seals are also very nice and fit perfectly, with no problems whatsoever.

I know I said fit was great, but I should add that there was minor trimming involved. I think that has been the case with kits from all the vendors, not just NPD. When I say minor trimming, I mean I had to cut about 1/8" off the end of the snap in pieces so they would fit between to division bar and the new runner felt at the other end. Thats it!

Did these kits quite the cab down a bit? My 66 is loud as heck inside around the doors and especially the windows. I want to get almost all the noise gone from the windows if possible. I know I can do that with the doors with good rubber but right now I need the windows to quit leaking.

My truck isn't liscensed yet, so I've only had it down the street at 35 mph or so, but so far it is a lot quieter. I also have new door seals. Next I'm going to insulate all underneath the floor rubber and the roof behind the headliner, and I'm going to get some of the original vynil clad door panels (instead of my metal ones), so that should help insulate the doors a little. One big problem you have is no sound deadening whatsoever. I had a 65 F250, and I installed new door rubber thinking it would quiet it down some, but it didn't really do anything. Put sound mat everywhere you can! Thats what I would do, aside from replacing all your seals.

The DC kit has a NEW division bar. If you get the New bar from NPD the total $ is about the same.

Most dod NOT need a new bar, only the felt inside it.

I called DC to see if they would sell a kit with just the felt in it and they said NO, I would just have to order all the peices seperate. That would be $20 more than NPD.

I have not ordered them yet, but I am going with NPD.

That makes sense. However, I think they are shooting themselves in the foot by not offering a kit without the new division bar. If I needed one, I'd just hit the junkyard and get a good used one for $5, ya know?

Yeah I am going to put the peel and seal roofing pads in it. I put some in my daily driver and it helps but I will put that in the doors, firewall, floor, roof, etc and then jute mat and then the carpet. I just want to make sure new rubber seals and anti rattle kits will kill all the wind and whistle noise.

The only area I'm slightly concerned with is where the two window runs meet, up at the top of the division bar. On mine I can definetly see where a little air might get through (about 1/8" gap). If you pay good attention to this spot and trim the pieces to fit snugly around the window I think it would take care of it; I just didn't realize it until I had it all together. If it makes noise I'll probably take it back apart and trim it better.

Ok thanks, I will definately keep this in mind then and be sure to make it fit as tight as possible. Nothing bothers me more than rattles and whistling wind noise.
