The bed on that truck is the one I have been looking for for a long time. It is either a super camper special or a trailer special.

It says:

No other markings anywhere (looked on the back too).

I've been googling all day for these things - nothing even close so far...

I believe these were the prelude to running boards... Those with 5th wheels use them so they could get up into the back of the truck with the trailer hooked on to work the hitch, plug wires, etc... others put them on so that they could get up into the back of the bed over the side... I'm pretty sure they are aftermarket... and old school, might be hard to find them now days...

I've seen them. once on a camper special. had one on each side. Woder what keeps you from bendin the sheet metal? is there a brace on the back side?
