The springs for V8s and I6s are differant.

You would not have to bend the beams if you move the pivot down as well. They make a kit for the 80's 2x4s to do this. They would be easy to make for the 65-79 frames. Then you could have a shop strech out your springs, or something.

You would still have to have them bent a little to get the alignment done, but it would be within the factory design.

What about steering problems, the links would no longer be in the right plane and could have negitive effects.

dan how can you tell the difference and where did you come by this info? i just want to make sure i can back this up if anyone ever asks me.
