As a side note: if you're creating new drainage holes, do keep in mind that any water that's able to reach the frame rails will do a wonderful job contributing to rot. When cleaning up the '70, I found some rather pitted areas on the top of the frame rails around the bed mounts - Partly thanks to the unbelievable amounts of dirt accumulated/caked on the top surfaces of the frame.

Guess I don't have to worry about the water build up in the '72, one of these days I will get another bed for it. LOL!!!

My '73 has a shell on it so it stays rather dry in there. Interesting, I never knew there was any weep holes in the beds before.

my 69 has a shell on it too :) . but the bed is in just as good shape as if it didnt have one, since it was used to haul scrap, and the scrap metal has scraped the paint off. no biggy, i plan to repaint anyways

I asked Ryan to sweep the garage, he stuck a blower nozzle on his compressor and blew all the leaves into the driveway. Cheater!!
