I doubt it's that far - unless your quite a ways south of 50... more like an hour or so, and yeah, AFB is Air Force Base.
I go thru Folsom quite often to visit the daughter up in So Lk Tahoe...
I'd love to compare notes with you on what you've done with your '69 Ranger - looks sweet!

re: Greetings from California!
I only commute once every other week for a couple nights - and telecommute the rest of the time - so it's not so bad... The commute on those telecommute days is REAL sweet! (Sweats, slippers, coffee, newspaper...)
You've got quite an ambitious youngster there - hopefully his sandwiches hold up better than the PVC carport. Hopefully that thing is already being rebuilt as we speak.
Seriously though - you must be proud of him. Neither of my boys gives a hoot about cars. Yours is going to have a ride he can be proud of fersure.

He is definitely a good kid. If his grades drop any he is going to be playing with his truck only on weekends. My wife says she will take away Fordification access but I think that is WAY too harsh!!! And that PVC carport is mostly my fault. It was my engineering genius in the first place. Hopefully this time when we put the tarp on all the improvements we have made will keep it up. Enjoy that telecommute, don't spill any coffee on your slippers on the way back from the [censored]!
