Actually, the cowl drains are higher up. Here are a couple pictures I took when I was doing the floorpans on my '67 that show where the cowl drain holes are located on each side:

That's not a drain hole...it's got a grommet/plug in it from the factory. ;)

yeah it was just the hole i was thinking of. i couldnt remember if it was the drain hole or not. it was just the hole i was thinking of. on a rustier truck i have flushed water down through that hole though while searching for a bolt i dropped.

now im confused..
so those first two pictures that Keith posted arnt drain holes? there plugs? or is just the first on a plug?

the first pics are the drain holes. the second pics are plugs for who knows what right now.maybe somesort of hooks from the factory to set the cabs on the frames.

If it was a chebby I'd use your idea, after pouring some gas down the cowl.:evil:

yesterday, i found the drain holes and looked at them with a flash light and there is a mountain of leaves. nothing water cant get through but still. i tried fishing them out with my fingers. well, i think i got two out of the 30 min. down there :-) . its too bad i just installed a heater/ac, because now i cant fish them out the easy way :( .
