i just went and looked to see if there was a ford symbol. i guess i was seeing things earlier, there is not ford symbol.

funny random thing about my truck's horns: my brother recently took my truck to his driving test and when they were checking the truck out, the person let the very dull blinker issue get by and the no reverse lights get by but the horn had to work. so he tried hitting the horn but it didnt work. he kept trying but nothing. then when my dad picked him up and my brother tells him that it didnt work and then my dad pushes on the horn buttons(which my brother was pushing when the truck was off) and they worked.
my brother learned the hard way that the horn doesnt work when the truck is not on. lol

ryan if they don't work with the truck off something is wrong all horns work with the truck/car on and off.

it could be wired wrong who knows without tracing the wires down according to the wiring diagrams. more pic might help but i dont thin kso. all you might be able to show us is the taped wiring harness.

ill get some pics of the horn set up and wiring tomorrow if it helps. if the horns arnt factory, the the wiring diagram most likely wont be the same. unless the old wires were used again. i dont know without checking it out but is too dark right now.

On our trucks the horns from the factory will be all metal. Those look like metal backs with plastic trumpets if so they are after market. Also my truck only has one under the hood and its on the passenger side.

something tells me one of those sellers is a member.

but anyways yeah those are the ones i've always had. they ground to the body/core support and the power comes out of a relay on the pass. inner fender.

and that gets constant hot from the slenoid's battery terminal and one a wire from the horn pad and then the wire out to the horn. for the factory dual horn setup it uses the same wire that feeds the pass. horn with a harness that plugs into it and then splits in two going to both horns.

here is where the factory yellow/green wire goes into a plug. the orange color is where the yellow/green comes out of the plug. its a bad pic. sorry

here is where the yellow/green wire comes out of the tape and goes into a plug on the blue thingy.
