Daren,
Welcome from NY. Another northeasterner. That makes about 10 of us now. I'm in Westchester county, about 45 min west of Danbury.

Actually, It is about 2 miles from where I live. Pass by it in the mornings heading to Hartford for work. I just moved to Southbury last Sept. and have not had time to go there. I want to though. Not to jump ship here but I was an International Haverster fan when I was a teenager. Had a '52 and a '53 1/2 ton. I want to go there to see if they have any of those old farm trucks. What a great place that would be for a New England Meet 'n' Greet. Maybe someday when my 68 looks a little better.[/img]

Welcome from Arkansas, Darin! :D Cool story, my '69 is almost as old as me (don't personally like the '65 model). I got mine by thinking "I'll never get this truck off E-bay if I only bid $600!" Boy was I right-I got it for $560! Warning: NOTICE! This place is addictive, and may take up most of your online time! Consider yourself warned! That is all!

The musuem is a must see. I went last fall. Its great for the kids too! My wife even thought it was cool. I'd like to go back because they get different trucks in and out. I'd like to drive my bump out there, but right now I'm a little uncomfortable taking it so far from home, a little over an hour. I'm sure it would be fine. They have a show there in the spring, I think in May.

You must have faith grasshopper.

Become one with your truck.

And run it full tilt boogie until it fixes itself or breaks. :P

At least if you break down from NY to CT, you know where there is spare truck to temporarily borrow parts off of.

Just let me know what you take in the middle of the night while I'm sleeping.

I'm still waiting for the day when my truck or ANY thing fixes itself for me.
