re: 302 engine names
he looks awful hungry for that christmas tree, tof.....
there were five different variations of 302's built through the years. You had the basic 2v and 4v motors built down through the years, there were the EFI and roller cam windsors which started in the 80's, and there were the tunnel port and boss 302's built for trans am racing. here you go....

yea what he said...i think the only reason the have a 351w is because theres a 351c...so they needed something to distiguish them apart...

I would disagree. The 265 was built in 55 and the small block chevy ran till 98 in the trucks which was the last year of the 350.Leadfoot wrote:WHAT? Boys, boys you telling me you never herd of the windsor 90 degree small block family.
The small blocks ford has made since the early 60's . Fords first modern power plant. Man you would think a bunch of North Americans would Know about the longest running engine family ford has ever made. Named after the plant of origin in Windsor. The 221, 260, 289, 302, 5.0l, and big brother 351.

re: 302 engine names
Yeah, I find it amusing that you guys are trashing a guy for calling something by its correct name. The 289 and 302 are both Windsors except for the 302 Clevelands that are used down under. It's kind of amusing because it is rude to joke at other people expense and yet we are laughing at you guys for not knowing such common stuff. Hawkrod
