Underbed Spare Tire Holder
Would appreciate any pics ya'll might have of where and how this apparatus attaches to the frame......All-right,I admit I'm lazy but it would probably take me half a day to figure it out on my own.

I picked up one of the cable type carriers from a '97 ford yesterday at the salvage. I'll post some pictures of it when I get around to mounting it up.

I think it's factory although my 67 has only a nut. Here's a photo of the 67 (#1) and the 68 (#2).Jor, where did you get the replacement hardware? I noticed at the I-bolt connection you are useing a nutplate. Did it come in a kit?

Jor,were you actually able to unloose your spare tire from that apparatus?...I've had four of these trucks,....all Arizona natives, and I have never been able to take the spare tire off without hacksawing the eyebolt,...after a considerable amount of holy invocation,of course....

Yea, Joe, mine both work although I had to apply PB Blaster initially. My problem with both my 67 and 68 is the tires are too fat for the length of the bolt. The lever is pushed really tight into the tire. To take it down I put a floor jack under it to avoid that thing slamming down.
