saginaw power steering pump

Post by broke_okie »

Has anyone put a saginaw power steering pump on a FE engine? I want to add one to my 71 which has a new stock "can style" pump . The one I have now does not pump enough to keep up and eventually I want to add a ram assist steering and I have been told to use a saginaw pump. I have the bracket off of a 460 c.i. engine that had the saginaw pump. Has anyone done this if so what do I need to do to make it work?

I have the preasure hose for one if you end up using one. I was thinking about doing that but a 50 buck rebuild kit was more affordable at the time.
