Tripticker, that looks great....In fact,I really enjoyed your whole resto slide show when somebody posted it here ....I would imagine using genuine leather probably doubled or more the cost of the upholstery---At least that's what my guy told me when I asked him for prices...Your seat isn't too unlike the old Mustangs with the rare bench seat....Saw one yesterday and it followed the same contour as yours....
This is the point...I'm....talking about everybody! I'm talking about form! I'm talking about content! I'm talking about interrelationships! I'm talking about God, the devil, hell, heaven!!!! Do you understand???? Finally!!!!

Thanks Joe. That's a fantastic looking "Sport Custom" you're driving. I wish I could find an a/c system like you have hanging under your dash to put in my '67.

re: Seat Repair
well, i took my old bench seat in the truck down to the upholstery place and had them complete redo my seat. It cost me $300.45 for them to do the work.

Tripticker, we were ogling your reupholstered seat a while back when someone posted your truck rebuild slide show on this site. That is one beautiful bench seat and if it is as comfortable sitting in while driving as it looks, it was probably worth it.

re: Seat Repair
That is a sweat seat. I've been having second thoughts on buckets in my truck lately, and seeing some of these benches recovered is definately swaying me. I'd like to find a 40/20/40 with console and have it redone in leather.
Bumpless for now...

Re: re: Seat Repair
Hey folks, my seat is a great ride. Thanks again for all the kind comments. For the amount of money I spent it should be. I did get my money's worth. The main reason I went with this design was the original seat was in desperate need of repair and as we all know these bench seats "round down on the outer edges and my '67 was a "plain Jane" and did not even come with "arm rests", believe it or not, and any time you went around a curve, whether you were the driver or the passenger your rear end had a tendency to "slide" over the end of the seat into the area between the seat and the door. The new "bucket seat" build-up eliminated that problem and gives a much more secure ride when cornering , it has the feel of bucket seats.jzjames wrote:Tripticker, we were ogling your reupholstered seat a while back when someone posted your truck rebuild slide show on this site.
